WGP Trilogy Sport Autococker

Hi, I'm new to the tribe and the sport. I have the marker listed and noticed a significant number of misfires this weekend during play.

I'm using a standard gravity feed hopper and read something about autocockers having a 'timing' adjustment that needs to be made.

Any thoughts?

Autocockers are great because unlike most markers they fire from a closed bolt. That means that the bolt has already pushed the ball into the barrel before firing. So when you pull the trigger the first thing that happens is the blast of air that sends the ball on its way. Then in the same rearwards motion the 3-way valve sends air to the ram which pushes back the block which pulls back the bolt which lets another ball drop into the chamber. When you release the trigger and let it forward the 3-way will push the ram/block/bolt/ball combo forward.

The timing is important because you really really want the ball to fire before the 3-way actuates the ram. Autocockers are great because you can determine when and where in the trigger pull the marker will fire and when it will cycle the block. The problem is that this takes precision. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING FOR A BEGINNER TO DO ON THEIR FIRST GUN!!! I highly recommend if this needs adjusting take it to a professional or get someone who REALLY knows what they are doing to show you how to make this adjustment.

You dont say what kind of misfires you had. Chopping balls in half or not feeding balls or firing two balls at once or ???. With cockers it is very important to pull the trigger all the way back to make sure the gun cycles properly, this can take a while to get used to. This kinda bucks the trend but personally I move the sear break (when the gun fires the air) so that almost as soon as the trigger is moved it will fire, then a moderate spacing, then ram actuation. I also use slightly heavy springs so that once the trigger breaks there is enough momentum to make sure the trigger will cycle fully and I wont short stroke..

Also make sure you use a motorized hopped to help feed the beast.

Thanks Big Dave. That make a lot of sense. I'll see if my local Airsmith can help me adjust it properly.

I was chopping balls and out right misfiring. I may have been too light on the trigger. I still have much to learn, and am having the time of my life doing it.

      Thanks for your expertise.

I'll let you know what I figure out.

best upgrade for any cocker man is the eblade.. get one quick production is going away .. it takes away all the timing issues.. my teammate runs one and it rocks.. still cant keep up with my impulse but i got alot more money into mine.
